Meet Sarah

A quick introduction, who I am, where I come from, and why I'm running to keep serving District 181.

My roots

I grew up in a family that believed you get to help create the community you want to live in. My parents didn't just say it, they lived it, showing up for neighbors, schools, and the little things that add up to a place worth calling home. That lesson has stuck with me my whole life.

My family

My husband and I are raising our kids here in the Brainerd Lakes area. Being a parent in District 181 has given me a front-row seat to the classrooms, the bus stops, the concerts and the conferences, and a deep appreciation for the educators and families who make this district what it is.

My work on the Board

I've spent my time on the School Board focused on three things: every student's achievement, honest partnership with the community, and careful stewardship of the resources our neighbors entrust to us. I ask hard questions, I listen closely, and I keep coming back to a simple test, is this good for kids?

I'd be honored to keep doing that work. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
